Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains what information FlipPilot ("we", "us") handles when you buy and use FlipPilot Pro, where it is kept, and what you can do about it.
1. The short version
- FlipPilot keeps your products, listings, orders and settings in your own Chrome browser. We don't receive a copy.
- The extension sends our license server only your license key and a random ID for your Chrome install.
- Our license server keeps your email address, your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, your plan and its status, and which installs activated your key.
- Stripe handles payments. Your card number never reaches us.
- FlipPilot has no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and we don't sell your data.
2. Data kept on your computer
FlipPilot stores its working data in Chrome's local extension storage on your computer. That includes:
- products you import, with their Amazon and eBay details, prices and stock;
- your eBay listings, repricing, profit and tax records, settings and activity log;
- eBay orders you sync, including your buyers' names, shipping addresses and phone numbers, which FlipPilot needs to fulfil the orders;
- a record of each sale in the profit tracker (order number, amounts, items and the buyer's eBay username), kept for up to 3 years for your profit and tax reports, even after the order has shipped;
- your license status (key, plan, renewal date and a partly hidden email address);
- if you add them, your own Anthropic API key and eBay developer keys.
This data is not sent to us and is not synced to your Google account (FlipPilot uses Chrome's local storage, not Chrome Sync). Products can be deleted one by one in FlipPilot. Everything else, including order history, buyer details and the profit tracker, stays on your computer until you remove the extension from Chrome, which deletes all of it.
Your buyers' details are yours to look after: you are responsible for using them only to fulfil their orders, keeping your computer secure, and not keeping them longer than you need.
3. What the extension sends, and to whom
- Our license server: your license key and a random ID that FlipPilot creates for each Chrome install (so a key can be used on up to 2 installs). It checks the key when you enter it and about twice a day. When you click Manage subscription or Deactivate this device, it sends the key (and the install ID) for that action. Nothing else: no products, orders, buyer details, browsing history or account information.
- Amazon and eBay: FlipPilot loads and operates Amazon and eBay pages in your own browser, signed in as you, much as you would by hand. Those sites receive what they normally receive when you use them. When you place an order with auto-order or checkout autofill, your buyer's shipping address is entered on Amazon's checkout. Amazon's and eBay's own privacy policies apply.
- Anthropic (optional): only if you add your own Anthropic API key, FlipPilot sends product details (title, brand, bullet points, description and specifications) to Anthropic's API to draft listings. It does not send order or buyer details. This happens under your own Anthropic account and Anthropic's terms.
- eBay's API (optional): only if you add your own eBay developer keys and connect your eBay account, FlipPilot talks to eBay's API directly from your browser. The access tokens stay in your browser.
FlipPilot contains no analytics, telemetry, advertising or tracking code and does not report how you use it.
4. What our license server keeps
When you subscribe and use your key, our license server stores:
- your license key;
- the email address you entered at Stripe Checkout;
- your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID and checkout session ID;
- your plan, subscription status, the start and end of your current billing period, whether it is set to cancel, whether the purchase was made in Stripe's test or live mode, and the reason if the license is suspended (for example a payment dispute);
- the random install IDs that activated your key, with when each was first and last seen;
- technical records of the billing events Stripe sent us (event IDs and types).
We use this to issue your key, check that it is valid, enforce the install limit, handle renewals, cancellations and disputes, and give you support. The license server does not store your name, postal address or card details.
5. Payments (Stripe)
Payments are handled by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's checkout page; they never pass through or get stored by FlipPilot. Stripe collects your payment details, email and billing information and processes them under its own privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
In our Stripe account we can see the details Stripe shows to merchants, such as your name, email, billing country or postal code, card brand, the last four digits of your card and your payment history, but never your full card number. We use them only for billing, receipts, support, tax records and fraud prevention. We also save your license key on your Stripe customer record, so we can find it for you and it can appear on your invoices.
6. Hosting (Cloudflare)
This website and our license server run on Cloudflare, and license records are stored in Cloudflare's database service. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details (such as your browser type and the page requested) to deliver and protect the service. We also keep short-lived server logs of license and billing activity (for example "license suspended" with a subscription ID) to fix problems. Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
7. What we don't collect
- your browsing history, or what you do on sites other than through FlipPilot's features;
- your passwords for Amazon, eBay or anything else (FlipPilot uses the sign-in you already have in Chrome, and you sign in on those sites' own pages);
- your full card number or bank details;
- your products, listings, orders or your buyers' details;
- analytics or usage tracking of any kind.
8. How we use information
We use the information above only to provide FlipPilot Pro: to take payment, issue and check your license, run your subscription, answer support requests, enforce our Terms, prevent fraud, and meet legal and tax obligations. We use your email for receipts and account messages, such as billing problems or important changes. We won't send you marketing email unless you agree to it.
10. How long we keep it
- License records are kept while your subscription exists, and after it ends for as long as reasonably needed for tax and accounting and to handle disputes or chargebacks. Then we delete them.
- Install records are deleted when you deactivate an install, and otherwise kept with your license record.
- Server logs are kept only for a short period by our hosting provider.
- Stripe keeps payment records under its own policy and legal obligations.
- Data in the extension stays on your computer until you remove the extension (products can also be deleted one by one). Sale records in the profit tracker are kept for up to 3 years, then dropped automatically.
11. Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing flippilotcustomerservice@outlook.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you ask us to delete your license records while your subscription is active, your license will stop working, so cancel first. We may keep what we must for tax, legal or dispute reasons.
Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, the UK or California), you may have further rights, such as to object to or restrict how we use your information, to receive it in a portable format, or to complain to your data protection authority. Email us to use any of them.
You can free an install yourself in FlipPilot (License → Deactivate this device) and delete all extension data, including order history and buyer details, by removing the extension from Chrome.
12. Security
The license server is reached only over HTTPS, billing messages from Stripe are signature-checked, and access to our accounts is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your license key and your computer safe, and tell us at flippilotcustomerservice@outlook.com if you think your key has been misused.
13. Children
FlipPilot is a business tool for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. For significant changes we will tell you by email or in FlipPilot before they apply.
